This iconic colourful Jute Twine Spool from the Nutscene® Heritage Range is still produced in the County of Angus, Scotland, on the original winding machines which were introduced circa 1922. The Twines are composed of biodegradable materials, sourced from sustainable resources for over 90 years.

This heritage twine is presented in a label reproduced from the Nutscene® archives circa 1940. The spool is 10cm high, composed of strong 3ply Twine and is 110m approximate in length. Colours will fade in strong sunlight. Uniquely, the spools and balls of Twine all dispense from the centre making it easier to work with and less likely to unravel.

There's Only One Garden Twine

I've only ever used one brand of garden twine and that's Nutscene®. Still made in Scotland to this day, the quality of the twine is consistently unbeatable in tensile strength and durability. Nutscene® is a quintessential part of our British gardening heritage and one which I implore everyone to support.
