Care & maintenance

We’re constantly finding new ways to become more sustainable, so we only select products that are built to last. We recommend looking after your log store correctly to increase its lifespan.

  • Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt to release any moisture trapped inside the packaging. If the product is left in its packaging, it may develop patches of uneven discolouration.
  • Clean annually by hosing dirt from the product with clean tap water, followed by cleaning with detergent. Do not use a pressure washer and/or scouring pad for this purpose. This damages the coating.

Q) Can you supply these in any colour?

A) As long as you can provide a RAL code for a specific colour, we can fabricate it. Please note some custom RAL colours may incur start up costs.

Q) Do the the planters have drainage holes?

A) Yes, all planters with bases have a minimal amount of drainage holes, which allows our customers to drill more if required.

Q)How does delivery work?

A) Once your planters are ready to dispatch, we'll contact you to arrange a convenient date for delivery. We offer free kerbside delivery every weekday. We prefer if customers are at home to take delivery, but you can also authorise a safe place for them to be left at the front of your property.

The Forno Corten steel Wood Store Bench combines contemporary design and clever storage to create a stunning piece of practical garden furniture. Elegant, practical and long lasting; a perfect addition to your fire pit area.

Made from 3mm Corten steel, the store is inherently very strong and wear-resistant. If left untreated, the hardwood seat will turn grey as it weathers. Available in untreated Corten steel and a black coated version. The untreated stores are delivered un-rusted, oxidisation and the patina develop naturally when placed outside. The coated stores will not develop rust over time, no matter what the weather is like.

Made to last

Corten steel is a metal alloy made by adding copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium to iron. When exposed to air, the material forms a protective layer of rust. This natural coating prevents further corrosion, so the log stores will last for many years.

Hardy and robust

Once constructed, the coated steel planter is given several finishing treatments. The metal is roughened to allow better adhesion of the powder coating. This is applied with a strong adhesive primer. Finally, the planter is finished with a hard topcoat of Qualicoat class 2. These layers ensure that the planter is of very high quality and scratch resistant.
