Handmade in Sussex from sustainably coppiced English chestnut and recycled cricket bat willow, each trug has its own serial number and is guaranteed for five years. Simply put, trugs don't get any better than this.         

Established in 1829, the company's founder Thomas Smith was the original manufacturer of the Sussex trug, the popular form which is now replicated across the globe. The difference however, is that of superior quality and sustainability. Thomas Smith trugs continue to be handcrafted using the traditional method and tools; it still takes an apprentice trugmaker three years to graduate!
