Its deeper profile offers generous capacity while maintaining the lightweight strength Sussex Trugs are renowned for. Every trug is backed by a lifetime repair service, ensuring it can be enjoyed for generations.

Every Traditional Sussex trug is handcrafted using locally sourced sweet chestnut and willow. Sweet chestnut poles are coppiced during winter before being split, seasoned, shaved, steamed and bent to form the handle and rim. Willow, reclaimed from offcuts produced by the cricket bat industry, is cut, shaved and soaked before being carefully fitted into the frame. The result is a lightweight, durable heirloom basket that celebrates traditional British craftsmanship while remaining perfectly suited to modern life.
